With LOST just having ended   last week,it  seems appropriate to have  this month’s  Science Fact of the Month tie into the series. We will therefore be covering electromagnetism

The basic premise of  electrical magnetism  is that  electricity  is  being transported through  a wire . By being transported through  a wire, a magnetic shield is created in the surrounding area.

Some examples of objects created by  electromagnetism include  tape drives, speakers, motors, e.tc.

It should be noted  that virtually all movement/ actions are  due to electromagnetic forces which  react on charged protons and electrons.Remember,  that this also includes the pushing and pulling effects  when an object is being moved.

As LOST viewers are aware, the original  Oceanic flight 815 crashed due to a spike of electromagnetism  which was not contained as the hatch responsible for doing so was not  being monitored by its  keeper, Desmond Humes.Take a look at the scene of the crash directly below.
